Not easy

Not easy

The departure day is approaching but when someone depends from others, not always the goals can be reached.

The truth is that the scientific equipment has not arrived yet, even if I was granted to have received it already.  So, right know, it will not be arriving before the end of this week.

That system has all the pre-installation being done by myself, but still, I have to install the aethalometer and test it in flight. If the result is not right, I would have to return it to have it fixed, or change something in my installation. Little maths shows that I am already in trouble with that issue.

Still pending is also some of the survival gear, but tomorrow it should be cleared for me.

The parachute has been verified today and in a few minutes, will be back to my hands.

It is not a confortable one, so I think that the long flights will be hard.

Tomorrow I should have the Airworthiness Certificate updated and wednesday , my pilot license.

Overflight permits are on the way. Still trying to get a clearance to land at Fernando de Noronha. It is hard to get it, so there is a chance to fly direct from Dakar to Natal.

Also coordinating the scientific issues with Brasil and Colombia.

I can really tell, as in other flights, that it is not the best moment.

Once the aircraft takes off, the winds, thunderstorms and flight itself, is really relaxing, compared with the previous departure days !

Rocket Route software is helping a lot with the flight preparation. The best so far, is the kindness of the people that are at the other line of the line. Soon, I will start sending my flight plans and receiving huge briefings !

Hello,

I just read about your round the world flight and I’m curious to hear how you plan to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning and hypoxia during your journey.

Thanks in advance for replying to my question.

Safe travels,

Stacy Noland

Hey Michel,

Let’s make that happen. We are sponsoring Russian adventurer Fedor Konyukhov (http://www.cameronballoons.co.uk/news/new-round-the-world-adventure) on his non-stop global balloon flight around the world.

What’s the best way to connect with you to discuss specifics?

Regards,

Stacy
